Harry Clement Brogan papers 1898-1965 1917-1923

The papers of Harry Clement Brogan consist of printed materials, memorabilia, and photographs relating to Brogan's student years at Yale, particularly commencement activities in 1920 and 1923, as well as his participation in Yale's Reserve Officers' Training Corps. A personal collection of vintage postcards depicting Connecticut towns is included in the papers.

Harry Clement Brogan was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on February 28, 1898. He graduated with a B.A. degree from Yale College in 1920. During his 1917-1918 academic year he was a private in Battery D of the Yale Reserve Officers' Training Corps. He was later commissioned as a second lieutenant before being transferred to Camp Zachary Taylor where he was discharged on December 18, 1918. In 1923 he received his LL.B. degree from the Yale Law School. He practiced law in New London, Connecticut, ...
